We offer a comprehensive personalised programme to help you develop the skills for the work place. We focus on functional skills, emotional maturity, employability, supported work experience, preparation for adulthood and leading a healthy and happy life.
Tailored individual learning plans
Every student benefits from a bespoke education plan crafted to their unique abilities and career aspirations, providing practical learning and skill development essential for long-term employment success.
We start with a robust initial assessment to gain a better picutre of learners' skills and talents. This is our starting point from which we will give them the right opportunities to grow.
Learning is centred around our 5 pillars:
My Education-Using Maths and Engish in everyday life
My Independence-travel training, cooking, managing money, personal hygiene
My Emotions-understanding my feelings, strategies to control feelings
My Employment-exploring local job opportunities, recognsing skills and qualities, applying for work
My Safety-relationships, coping when things go wrong, who to talk to about concerns
Every week learners meet their Keyworker and are set achieveable targets to work towards. An Indiviudal Learning Plan (ILP) is created which is unique to the learner and acts as a record of their achievements.
Learning is fostered in the classroom and in real work place environments.
Work-place support
Our job coaches provide one-to-one support in the work place.
They assess starting points and celebrate what learners can already do. They will break down tasks into smaller chunks if required and through the use of Total Systematic Instruction guide learners to confidence in work place performance.
Job coaches will work in tandem with employers to track progress and ensure learning is captured in real-life working environments.
Comprehensive employment support
Offering end-to-end and wrap-around support, we assist learners with everything from acquiring skills to securing and maintaining meaningful employment, ensuring ongoing guidance through the transition from education to work and/or independent living.
We create personalised learning focusing on employment readiness and building a confident sense of self and one-to-one support in the work place.
We work closely with employers to match our education provision to the skills in demand in the work place now and in the future.
We also offer employers free access to our Learning Disability Awareness training to educate the community about the potential and talents of our learners and offer guidance on work place adjustments.
